Penguins are a fairly wondrous group of birds. They're
restricted to the Southern Hemisphere, ranging from
Antarctica to the tropical Galapagos. For range maps and
status of each species, visit the Penguins of the World
site. We've managed to see, and sometimes photograph,
penguins in Australia, New Zealand and the
Falklands. The galleries
included here are all from a trip to the Falklands for
a week at the end of January/start of February 2006
and include all four regularly breeding species.
